A significant milestone in this collaboration was the participation of NUUz faculty members in a scientific seminar organized at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in India. This seminar was conducted under the framework of the project titled \u201cAssessment of the Impact of Dams and Climate Change on Water Scarcity and Drought in the Basins of Arid and Semi-Arid Rivers of Uzbekistan and India,\u201d identified by project number UZB-IND-2021-89.<\/p>

Project Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Understanding the Impact of Dams and Climate Change:<\/strong> The primary goal of the project is to assess how the construction of dams and the ongoing effects of climate change are influencing water scarcity and drought in the river basins of Uzbekistan and India. By studying these impacts, the project aims to develop strategies to mitigate the negative effects on water availability and ensure sustainable water management.<\/li>
  • Comparative Analysis:<\/strong> The seminar provided a critical platform for discussing the results of ongoing research and comparing the findings from the river basins studied in both countries.
