The full title is: &#171;Reduce inequality within and among countries&#187;.<\/p><p>The Goal has ten targets to be achieved by 2030. Progress towards targets will be measured by indicators. The first seven targets are &#171;outcome targets&#187;: Reduce\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Income_inequality_metrics\">income inequalities<\/a>; promote universal social, economic and political inclusion; ensure\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Equal_opportunity\">equal opportunities<\/a>\u00a0and end\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Discrimination\">discrimination<\/a>; adopt fiscal and social policies that promotes equality; improved regulation of global\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Financial_market\">financial markets<\/a>\u00a0and institutions; enhanced representation for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Developing_country\">developing countries<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Financial_institution\">financial institutions<\/a>; responsible and well-managed migration policies. The other three targets are &#171;means of achievement&#187; targets: Special and differential treatment for developing countries; encourage\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Development_aid\">development assistance<\/a>\u00a0and investment in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Least_developed_countries\">least developed countries<\/a>; reduce transaction costs for migrant\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Remittance\">remittances<\/a>.<\/p><p>Target 10.1 is to &#171;sustain income growth of the bottom 40 per cent of the population at a rate higher than the national average&#187;. This goal, known as &#171;shared prosperity&#187;, is complementing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sustainable_Development_Goal_1\">SDG 1<\/a>, the eradication of extreme poverty, and it is relevant for all countries in the world.\u00a0In 73 countries during the period 2012\u20132017, the bottom 40 per cent of the population saw its incomes grow. Still, in all countries with data, the bottom 40 per cent of the population received less than 25 per cent of the overall income or consumption.<\/p><p>Inequality exist in various forms, such as economic, sex, disability, race, social inequality, and different forms of discrimination.<\/p><p>Issues associated with health, pollution, and environmental justices are often inseparable with inequality. Sometimes these issues also associated with indigenous and aboriginal communities,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Minority_group\">ethnic minorities<\/a>\u00a0and communities of low socio-economic status (SES).\u00a0Studies of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Environmental_justice\">environmental justice<\/a>\u00a0shows these communities are irregularly likely to live in environments with higher risk of exposure to pollution and toxic contamination, which possess long-term health and environmental threats.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Globalization\">Globalization<\/a>\u00a0is also accompanied with migration, displacement and dispossession, and this often-increased vulnerability of marginalized communities and groups, which negatively shaped their prospects for globalization and emancipation and widened inequality at the meantime.\u00a0Efforts are still needed to improve the policy measures for orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility.<\/p><p>There are also association between inequality and mental and physical health in various forms, such as status anxiety\/competition, social capital, social embeddedness and cohesion.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sustainable
