The construction of a new student residence building with 1000 beds has been started at NUU

The 1st-2nd floors of the newly constructed dormitory will be specialized in providing student services. It is envisaged to create all kinds of household services, including Book cafe, computer service rooms, information service center and other amenities.

The new residence building, set to accommodate up to 1000 students, is a testament to the university’s dedication to fostering a vibrant and supportive living and learning environment. The groundbreaking ceremony, attended by university officials, faculty members, and construction partners, marked the official initiation of this transformative project.

This addition aligns with the university’s strategic vision to cater to the growing needs of its student population and create a conducive atmosphere for academic success and personal growth. The residence will not only serve as a place for students to reside but will also offer a range of amenities and communal spaces designed to promote social interaction and community building.

“We are excited to embark on this important journey of constructing a modern student residence that will provide a safe, comfortable, and enriching living experience for our students. This project is a reflection of our commitment to the holistic development of our student body,” stated Inom Madjidov, Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan.

The design of the residence prioritizes sustainability, energy efficiency, and accessibility, ensuring that it meets the diverse needs of the university’s student community. The construction process will adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety, with completion expected end of 2024.

The addition of this new residence building is expected to alleviate the demand for on-campus housing and contribute to a positive and engaging campus life experience. As the project progresses, the university looks forward to welcoming students to this modern living space that complements the world-class education offered at the National University of Uzbekistan
