Promoting Energy Conservation Through Educational Video Collaboration with ESMA
The National University of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the Energy Saving and Management Agency (ESMA), has launched a creative educational initiative aimed at raising awareness about energy conservation and efficiency among students, their families, and the surrounding community.
As part of the university’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable living and support the “Green Space” National Programme, a short video was produced to demonstrate practical ways to save energy both at home and on campus. The video highlights simple but effective habits such as turning off unused lights, choosing energy-efficient appliances, reducing water heating consumption, and using natural light whenever possible.
Through engaging visuals and real-life examples, the project delivers a clear message: saving energy starts with small daily actions. The initiative also encourages families and community members living near the university campus to take part in energy-saving challenges and adopt eco-friendly practices.
The collaboration with ESMA provided expert guidance and technical insight, ensuring that the video accurately reflects national energy efficiency standards and sustainable behavior models.
Rector Inomjon Majidov emphasized that such educational projects play a crucial role in shaping environmentally responsible citizens and strengthening the connection between science, education, and society.
By combining creativity, education, and environmental responsibility, the National University of Uzbekistan continues to demonstrate its leadership in promoting energy conservation and sustainable development across academic and community settings.
