TEDTalks: The National University Youth Union calls for "young and energetic" speakers!

A conference was held in the building of the Ziyo Forum Foundation for the Development of Science and Education on the initiative of students of the National University of Uzbekistan.
The conference was opened by Raima Shirinova, Vice-Rector for International Relations of NUUz, who informed about the work carried out by the university in the field of sustainable development, as well as about the successes achieved.
The event was attended by about 100 young people interested in topics such as the development of the country, environmental cleanliness, as well as young people who are not indifferent to sustainable development.
The main theme of the conference is “Sustainable Development”, which included many indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015. Including SDG-1 fighting poverty, SDG-2 fighting hunger, SDG-4 quality education, SDG-5 gender equality, SDG-6 clean water and sanitation, SDG-7 affordable and clean energy, SDG-9 innovation, SDG-11 Sustainable Cities, SDG-13 change climate change, SDG-15 indicators such as life on earth were mentioned during the conference.
“Every person, every country on every continent will be affected by climate change in one form or another. A climate cataclysm is approaching, and we are not ready for what it might mean.
Climate change is caused by human activity and threatens life on earth as we know it. With the increase in greenhouse gas emissions, climate change is happening faster than expected. Its effects can be devastating and include extreme and changing weather conditions and rising sea levels.
If left unchecked, climate change will undo many of the gains made in recent years. It also causes mass migrations, which lead to instability and wars.”- says one of the speakers
