In recent years, specific measures have been taken to protect the population and regions from seismic risk, conditions have been created for conducting scientific research in the field of seismology and seismic-resistant construction at the level of global requirements, monitoring the strained-deformed state of the earth’s crust, assessing the seismic risk and the material-technical base of the network of stations used for recording earthquake detectors has been strengthened.
At the same time, due to the fact that the territory of our country is located in seismically active zones, there is a need to prevent seismic risk, protect the population and regions from seismic risk, improve the system of personnel training in this regard, as well as continuously implement targeted programs and scientific research in the field.
For this purpose, on February 10, in the National University of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a preventive event on “Safety of Seismological Situations” was held and all responsible persons, professors and teachers and students were informed about how to behave during an earthquake and how to ensure the safety of the community
