Youth Voice on the International Stage: Charos Abdug'afurova
Charos Abdug’afurova is one of the brightest representatives of young Uzbeks active in the international arena, and she is gaining attention for her work in the field of social work, youth policy, and drug prevention. As a master’s student in Social Work at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Uzbekistan, he is actively participating in initiatives not only within the country, but also at the international level.
ECOSOC Youth Forum 2026
On April 16, 2026, Charos Abdug’afurova participated in an important international event, the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2026, held at the UN headquarters in New York. This forum discussed the topic “Involving youth in drug prevention systems – as a factor accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.” He participated as a member of the UNODC Youth Network and gave a presentation on the topic “Central Asian Youth Network – UNODC: Experience in Partnership and Prevention.” In this presentation, he shared his experiences in working with youth, prevention programs, and international cooperation in the Central Asian region with a wider audience.
