"Strengthening moral values at the National University of Uzbekistan"

The system of ensuring and monitoring compliance with ethical standards at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek is one of the effective mechanisms introduced by the institution. The university leadership and appointed officials monitor ethical issues throughout the institution, are responsible for the development of discipline, ethical values, and a socio-cultural environment among students. This system plays a key role in implementing the principles of transparency, honesty, and justice at the university.

As evidence, a meeting held in the Tashkent City Youth Center in 2023 can serve as an example. This event was attended by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Affairs Jabbor Muhammadiyev, prevention inspectors, and the “Kalqon” public group, consisting of volunteer students of the university.

The “Shield” group was established by a joint decision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the National Guard. Its main goal is to form a military-patriotic spirit among students, help maintain public order, prevent violations, combat crime, and ensure socio-moral stability in the university environment.

During the meeting, the members of the “Shield” group were given a comprehensive explanation on maintaining peace, tranquility and order in the territory of educational buildings and student dormitories, not losing vigilance and approaching their duties responsibly. The consequences of non-compliance with ethical standards, corruption and violation of disciplinary rules were also discussed in detail.

This event clearly demonstrates the existence of official mechanisms that control ethical issues at the university and their active functioning. At the same time, it serves to form moral values - honesty, respect and justice in the minds of students. This proves that it is a systematic approach aimed at strengthening the socio-spiritual environment of the university and educating young people as responsible and tolerant individuals.
