Honesty, respect, and justice are the core values of quality education.
As part of the “2025 – Year of Attention to Humanity and Quality Education”, the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek and a number of organizations held a Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic “Quality Education – the Foundation of Development” at the Tashkent City Youth Center. This event was of particular importance as it was aimed at strengthening such important values as honesty, respect and justice in the education system.
Representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, the Agency for Youth Affairs, the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, the Republican Council of Young Scientists and other partner organizations, professors and teachers, and students actively participated in the conference. The main goal of the event was to widely discuss the issues of not lying in the educational process, combating corruption, and establishing the principles of mutual respect and justice.
During the event, experts emphasized that improving the quality of education depends primarily on the value of honesty. In particular, the need to ensure transparency in examination processes, apply a fair approach to assessment, and take strict measures against plagiarism was noted. In this regard, it was emphasized that systematic work is being carried out to strengthen academic honesty in higher education institutions.
The value of respect also took a central place at the conference. Valuing each student and teacher as a person and creating an environment of healthy and civilized communication between them was recognized as an important factor in increasing the effectiveness of education. It was emphasized that the presence of mutual trust and respect in student-teacher relationships further strengthens the interest of young people in learning.
Special attention was also paid to the principles of fairness within the framework of the conference. In particular, issues of creating equal opportunities for all students, avoiding bias in assessment and selection processes, as well as ensuring social justice were widely discussed. This is important in creating an atmosphere of trust in the education system.
During the event, participants expressed their thoughts and opinions through interactive dialogues, questions and answers, and practical suggestions. In particular, the initiatives put forward by young people – ideas aimed at developing an anti-corruption culture, promoting academic honesty, and strengthening an atmosphere of mutual respect – were worthy of special attention.
This scientific and practical conference was an important step towards strengthening the values of honesty, respect, and justice in the education system, forming healthy social views in the minds of young people, and ensuring quality education. Such events serve not only to improve the quality of education, but also to establish an atmosphere of openness and trust in society.
