Scientific Approaches to Climate Adaptation and Resilience: NUU Delegation’s Participation in the International Conference in Azerbaijan

The participation of representatives from the National University of Uzbekistan in the international conference held in Baku, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and its Institute of Geography, fully aligns with CLIMATE ACTION which focuses on strengthening resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters.

The delegation’s scientific engagement on the topic “Comprehensive assessment of the dynamics of natural geographic processes using remote sensing technologies under climate change conditions” reflects the growing importance of advanced geospatial methods in addressing climate challenges. By employing remote sensing and GIS technologies, researchers can monitor landscape transformation, assess environmental risks, and develop sustainable strategies for resource management.

This initiative plays a vital role in enhancing scientific understanding of climate-induced processes and contributes to building adaptive systems capable of mitigating the negative impacts of global climate change. Moreover, such academic cooperation fosters the exchange of knowledge and best practices between institutions, strengthening regional and international collaboration in environmental research.

The efforts of the National University of Uzbekistan in this direction exemplify the country’s commitment to global climate action by promoting research-driven solutions and integrating innovative technologies into environmental monitoring and management.
