Roundtable Discussion at NUUz Promotes Legal Awareness and Women Safety
On September 26, 2025, a roundtable discussion was held at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz) with first-year students of the Law Department. The event aimed to raise awareness among youth about legal responsibility, ethical behavior, and the dangers of destructive ideologies.
The discussion involved key representatives, including Lieutenant Colonel A.A. Abdulkhaqov, Senior Inspector for Preventive Measures, Lieutenant H. Orzimatov, Faculty Deputy Dean B. Ergashev, medical staff from the campus clinic, Women’s Affairs Advisor Sh. Hamroqulova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Legal Sciences X. Choriyeva, and faculty tutors Sh. Mavmudov and Sh. Obidov.
During the session, specialists emphasized the importance of respecting the law, following university rules and codes of conduct, and maintaining moral discipline on campus. They also discussed ways to prevent youth involvement in harmful ideologies and warned against the growing risks of drug abuse among students.
Through open dialogue and practical advice, the participants encouraged students to take personal responsibility for their behavior and to become active contributors to a safe and lawful academic environment. Events like this reflect the university’s commitment to shaping well-informed, law-abiding, and socially responsible future professionals.
