Initiatives to Support Students’ Mental Well-being adn Counselling
On April 23 of this year, at School No. 71, a psychological counseling session was conducted by M.Z. Talipova, lecturer of the Department of “Pedagogy and General Psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences, National University of Uzbekistan. The session was held as part of ongoing psychocorrection work with students prone to self-destructive tendencies.
This initiative forms an integral part of the department’s collaboration, methodological-practical support, and psychological counseling services. Such support is systematically provided across all faculties of the university, with a focus on working directly with students through individual counseling, correctional activities, and mental health support services.
The main objectives of this activity include:
-early identification of psychological problems among students,
– strengthening mental health,
-preventing self-destructive behavior,
– and supporting each student’s personal development through an individualized approach.
Such initiatives not only help address problematic situations but also contribute to creating a healthier social and psychological environment within educational institutions.
