Initiative to check students’ well being and giving financial support to the students from low-income families in terms of accomodation.

On January 25, Associate Professor Jamshid Yusubov, PhD in Political Science, from the Department of “Legal Sciences” at the Faculty of Social Sciences, National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz), held a meeting with students in the university dormitory. Organized as part of the Department Day, the event aimed to promote educational equality, expand learning opportunities, and address the needs of students effectively.

During the event, the living conditions of students residing in Dormitories 4 and 5, particularly those with disabilities and orphaned students, were examined. Their needs and challenges were thoroughly analyzed, and recommendations were developed to address the issues they face in accessing education. These recommendations were submitted to the university administration, with practical steps planned for their implementation.

As part of the event, special gifts were presented to students who demonstrated high academic performance, engaged in scientific research, and actively participated in social initiatives. Among the gifts was a “Glossary,” a reference book that explains key terms and concepts relevant to higher education institutions. This thoughtful gesture was designed to further support and motivate students in their academic pursuits and contribute to their success in the educational process.

Jamshid Yusubov’s initiative is notable for its foundation in the principle that no student should be overlooked or left behind. These practical efforts are not only crucial for fostering the intellectual growth of students but also play a vital role in advancing equality and fairness in education.

This meeting exemplifies the National University of Uzbekistan’s innovative and human-centered approach to quality education. It bolsters efforts to broaden educational opportunities for all students, regardless of their socio-economic background, and reaffirms the commitment to ensuring equal access to education for everyone.
