"Youth Sails" project funded by the European Union

On August 18-25, the “Youth Sailing” project implemented with the financial support of the European Union was successfully implemented.

Program objectives:

  • training of youth leaders, as well as young employees of organizations, civil society, especially women, in the field of education on human rights, environment and critical thinking.
  • teaching the basics of educational practice in the field of human rights, teaching critical thinking and sustainable development and non-formal education methods.
  • creation of a community of qualified trainers and facilitators, cooperation with ready civil society (youth initiatives, NGOs, etc.) in different regions of Uzbekistan.

Among 600 strong applicants from different regions of our Republic, 50 strongest young leaders were selected for this project, and they were given 8 days of training on the topics of “Human rights, environmental rights and democratic education”.
In this project, young people perfectly presented the projects of their teams, applied innovative approaches and created creative solutions to problems in the world of law. The presentations showed how young people can make practical changes with new ideas and creativity.

Turanov Dyorbek, a 3rd-level student of Jurisprudence: Business Law, Faculty of Social Sciences of NUU, who participated in the project, was awarded with certificates by the European Union Foundation and the project leaders for his active participation.
