On May 18 of this year, a meeting of three generations was held in the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Intellectual Technologies and Mathematics of the National University of Uzbekistan with the participation of senior experts and honorary graduates, as well as talented students.
Graduates who studied at the faculties of mathematics and applied mathematics and mechanics of TashSU (now UzMU) during 1969-1974 took part in the meeting of three generations.
It is gratifying that today among the representatives of this generation there is one academician, a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, a Hero of Uzbekistan, 12 professors, 3 distinguished scientists, 30 candidates of science, 3 serving in Uzbekistan. distinguished teachers, 10 state prize-winners, 2 institute directors, 5 school directors, 5 department heads.
      At the meeting, scientists who are successfully working in various fields of our republic, experienced specialists of the field shared their memories and opinions. In particular, the director of the Institute of Mathematics of the RFA, academician, Hero of Uzbekistan Sh.A. Ayupov, doctor of technical sciences, professor B. Radjabov, head of the department of the “Nuroniy” foundation M. Umarov, the potential of the university, contribution of scientists to the field of mathematics, scientific activities were discussed.
Talented students who listened to life lessons from the guests also spoke at the meeting and expressed their gratitude.
      At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Republican Board of the “Nuroniy” Foundation, the Hero of Uzbekistan Sadiqjon Turdiyev and the honorary graduates presented souvenirs to the students of the university and valuable books to the library fund.
