On September 13, the second forum of rectors of Central Asian countries was held at the National University of Tajikistan. In addition to rectors, representatives of scientific circles, professors of more than 80 universities of Central Asia, a delegation of rectors and vice-rectors of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan took part in the Forum.
The conference was opened by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, R. Saidzoda, and evaluated it as the result of opportunities created to establish a dialogue between scientific intellectuals of our countries. R. Saidzoda noted that today’s event is being organized within the framework of the fifth consultative council of the heads of state of Central Asia, in particular, this initiative was put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and later the Central Asian rectors’ forum will become a tradition and serve the development of scientific cooperation in the region.
<\/span>Also, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan S. Nurbek noted that the current globalization process and the time of political changes are an opportunity to turn the Central Asian region into an educational «hub».
<\/span>Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Buzrukkhanov spoke about reforms in the field of higher education in Uzbekistan. He is the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. According to Mirziyoyev’s initiative, he offered to consider the issue of organizing a meeting of education ministers and rectors of the «European Union — Central Asia» in Uzbekistan next year.
<\/span>The participants of the forum took part in the chapters «Trends of international education in a changing world: tradition and innovation» and «Development of scientific-pedagogical cooperation as a factor of international integration in a multicultural educational space» with their lectures.
<\/span>In their speeches, the leaders of higher education institutions noted the integration of the higher education system of the Central Asian countries into the global educational space, the strategy of inter-university cooperation, the creation of joint projects and the important aspects of their success.
<\/span>As a result of the negotiations, more than 20 Memorandums of Understanding, Agreements and «Roadmaps» covering various areas were signed by the HEIs of Uzbekistan.
<\/span>A rectors’ meeting was held in U-2-U (University-University) format within the framework of the conference.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
